Seriously though, for this #dailysong I’m going a bit different with a tv show theme. (What do you mean I’ve already done that?) Okay, not super different. BUT STILL!! So the thing is I wanted to get the original French theme, but I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere I looked from an official source. So we’re going with the UK version instead. Yay? I kid, it’s a good version, I just feel like the French theme gets across the show’s concept a bit better. But I gotta work with what I got, so here we are! What I like about the theme is it takes what really is a convoluted plot and boils it down to the bare essentials. You got Marinette with the secret identity of the superhero Ladybug. Then you got Adrien who has the secret identity of Cat Noir. (Chat Noir in the original French. And I don’t know what they didn’t go all the way and call him Black Cat, but I digress.) They team up and fight supervillains that show up every week, and have a great dynamic. The thing is they don’t know each other’s secret identities, so while Marinette likes Adrien she finds Cat Noir annoying. And while Cat Noir likes Ladybug, he just sees Marinette as a friend. Shenanigans ensue. But yeah, that’s the plot in a nutshell. Anyway, here’s *googles actual title of song* “It’s Ladybug,” from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
