So I think I'm officially just gonna put #dailysong on hiatus until I can work up a large enough backlog. In the meantime (and also before and after) y'all are welcome to use it as much as you'd like. I've seen so many songs posted and no one is using it. I know you see it on the trending tab, lol. I don't own the hashtag. So please, if you're gonna upload a song, may as well make it a dailysong!

Seriously though, for this #dailysong I’m going a bit different with a tv show theme. (What do you mean I’ve already done that?) Okay, not super different. BUT STILL!! So the thing is I wanted to get the original French theme, but I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere I looked from an official source. So we’re going with the UK version instead. Yay? I kid, it’s a good version, I just feel like the French theme gets across the show’s concept a bit better. But I gotta work with what I got, so here we are! What I like about the theme is it takes what really is a convoluted plot and boils it down to the bare essentials. You got Marinette with the secret identity of the superhero Ladybug. Then you got Adrien who has the secret identity of Cat Noir. (Chat Noir in the original French. And I don’t know what they didn’t go all the way and call him Black Cat, but I digress.) They team up and fight supervillains that show up every week, and have a great dynamic. The thing is they don’t know each other’s secret identities, so while Marinette likes Adrien she finds Cat Noir annoying. And while Cat Noir likes Ladybug, he just sees Marinette as a friend. Shenanigans ensue. But yeah, that’s the plot in a nutshell. Anyway, here’s *googles actual title of song* “It’s Ladybug,” from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Me twenty-four seconds in: Yeah, that’s about right.

So for this #dailysong we’re looking towards another independent artist. Now, this has to be one of the most well-orchestrated songs I’ve ever heard. Why do I say that? Well, for one thing, it has no lyrics, so without good instrumentals the whole thing is caput. But seriously, this entire song from start to finish is so unique down to every individual note. What I mean is, the whole thing doesn’t repeat once. Now that’s not to say it doesn’t have certain sounds that pop up throughout and there is a steady track in the background but for the foreground, every single second is unique to what’s going on in the animation. After seeing this just a few times I am able to visualize the whole thing from start to finish off sound alone. How amazing is that!? The simple fact someone as tone-deaf as me can hear any part and know exactly what’s going on in the story being told is a testament to what’s going on. So anyway, go ahead and give “Middle School,” by Sven the Fenn a listen to and see if you can recognize what’s going on after a few listens.

Simple? Yes. Basic? A bit. Fun? Oh, hell yeah.

For this #dailysong we got the ending theme to Black Butler a show I can only recommend if you enjoy kind of weird and vaguely sexual anime. Basically, viewer beware. But his isn’t daily anime, it’s daily song. So what do I have to say about this? It’s some killer punk rock…. That’s it. I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. It’s kind of by the numbers, but that by no means makes it bad. In fact, I quite enjoy this one. While some may dislike it for being more basic than it could have been, I see no issue. It’s still well put together, and the editing on the vocals in the last verse certainly helps it stand out a bit more. And like I said, it’s a killer punk rock title. You ever want to feel a tad rebellious to some good music? This is the title for you. Not everything has to be the greatest ever, lol. Sometimes you just want the basics. So anyway, here’s “I’m Alive,” by Becca.

Fun fact: the title of this song is stylized the way it is because apparently someone was annoyed by FOB’s really long song titles. XD

For this #dailysong we’re going WAY back to grade school for some classic Fall Out Boy. Now, what can I say about this song? …….what can I say about this song? XD But seriously, this whole thing is basically nonsense. I got a friend of mine to try and explain it to me and they just sort of shrugged and said, “It’s just Pete being Pete. Who the hell knows?” SO! With that in mind, I guess all I have to say is that this is just pure Fall Out Boy. The lyrics don’t make a lick of sense, the accompaniment is amazing, and the music video is off the walls insane. But you gotta admit there is a talent in being able to make nonsense so damn entertaining. So anyway, here’s “Thnks fr the Mmrs (Thanks for the Memories),” by Fall Out Boy.
